Do you have a turnout figure at all? That looks mighty small.

That's numerically up on the last two years and the membership is down considerably - so the turnout is proportionally up

It is, apparantly, up a bit on recent years.

That's one of the most worrying sentences I have seen in a long time...

Why, Jennie?

Because if the youth wing of the third biggest party in a country of more than 60 million people can only muster 250-odd votes for its leadership election after all the public infighting generated vast amounts of publicity that's really bloody scary.

Still, not bad if it is improving.

LY or LDYS has been in the wilderness for the last few years and it is finally pulling itself out.

Well it depends, Anon.

There is a small numerical increase in turnout in a decreasing electorate. Assuming most of these are the same individuals, that means LY has a fairly static pool of activists but a rapidly shrinking number of ordinary members.

The same people keep talking but there are fewer and fewer people actually there to listen.

There's a saying about Chiefs and Indians I think.
