Waiting for news from Huntingdon...
My newly-adopted Regional Party is holding its Annual Conference and General Meeting in Huntingdon today. And whilst being the best part of two thousand miles away means that I couldn't attend, I do have a personal interest. So, what happened?...
It was a non-stop riot of excitement and intrigue, with impassioned debates continuing on late into the night until the deadlock was finally broken.
But seriously, it was the usual Eastern Region conference - all three motions were passed (the first with the amendment, sadly), and there were also some interesting presentations and speeches. Bob Russell sold lots of chocolate, Watford brought along a Wii and we heard from Britain's most powerful Lib Dem (Dave Hodgson - also the most powerful Dave irght now).
Most of the committee posts and what not appear to have been filled, but there are a couple that are contested and may go to election - I'm now a member of regional policy committee and English Council, but I don't know the full lists yet.
