And talking about a sense of perspective...
I am reminded that, as usual, Monty Python had found a lighter way of noting where we fit within the universe...
I can see your point. The sheer unlikeliness of our 'predicament' does occasionally make me stop and wonder why I allow the stupidity of others to annoy me.
Remembering where we are is a useful way of maintaining a sense of perspective...

Indeed. It reminds me of that quote from author Mervyn Peake "To live at all is miracle enough"....
