Yes, we've had a withdrawal, and a replacement candidate is required. Luckily, we had runners-up, so a recount will take place. In fairness, the 'excitement' will be further down the list, so don't get too aerated...

Why can't the party be consistent?
For the GLA a drop out after the result just meant everybody shuffled up one.
Actually, Duncan, I agree with you on the consistency issue, but would suggest that London's method is less fair to voters. If their particular preferred option withdraws, they would probably prefer to see their next most preferred option get consideration rather than a mechanical process of merely promoting everyone below the withdrawing candidate by one place.
